A very integral character in Punjabi folklore, Jugni or the firefly represents freedom, fearlessness, and radiance. Every person that adorns a piece of clothing (sarees, plazos, dupattas, kurtis, skirts, dresses etc) from JugniStore is another firefly lighting up the world, making it a more colourful, cheerful, and lit place. We work on bright hued fabrics with mesmerizing embroidery (phulkari) done by the rural Punjabi womenfolk along with a dash of sparkle in the form of sequins, gota, and mirrors. We derive a lot of inspiration from countries around the world in our designs to give Jugni a global touch while keeping its desi soul intact.
